14 Forum Transitorium and Roman Street in Musti
The monumental inscription, dated to the Late Antique period (4th century AD), provides an exceptional description of the city, its architectural beauty. This was a time of prosperity for Musti, marked by architectural development and the restoration of the forum. The text is addressed to visitors to the city, which is referred to as Sanctissima Mustis. One of the elogium fragments reads: 'He who comes to you victorious, the most holy Mustis, will have his mind and body enlivened in every way!' The fragmentary preserved inscription (11 pieces, within 6 are unpublished) was placed in the portico of the forum transitorium, alongside the city's main route Carthage–Sicca Veneria.
